Welcome

The Vasek Young String Players' Foundation (VYSPF) is a registered charitable organisation dedicated to serving the larger community by working for the improvement of quality in Australian music education through courses, workshops, performances and the provision of resources.


The VYSPF aims to provide scholarships and grants for WA string players under the age of 25, to develop a string resource centre for the WA music community and to establish a collection of fine string instruments for use by deserving students.

mission

- To advance standards of excellence in performance, teaching and teacher training for young string players.

- To support, mentor, aid and promote programmes and projects that will enhance the larger community by providing string students with opportunities to use their emerging talents, irrespective of socio-economic background and geographic location.

- To raise public understanding of the music profession and the purpose and benefits of music education.

structure

The Vasek Young String Players' Foundation is proud to have Mr Richard Gill, Artistic Director of OzOpera, as Patron. The Foundation's Vice-Patrons are Mr Graham Wood and Mrs Stephanie Coleman. All three have been awarded the OAM for their indefatigable work in music. The Board is comprises enthusiastic volunteers who share Judy Vasek's vision for quality music education in Western Australia.

The Foundation has Deductible Gift Recipient status, which means donations are fully tax deductible.
